Rachel Murphy was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog Toto went through over the weekend. Rachel claimed that the dog was bloodied and distressed after a groomer had taped Toto r’s lips shut.
Rachel said, "My pup was clearly in distress. What I originally thought was an actual muzzle, turned out to actually be tape. Toto r's feet were visible red and damaged, with toenails that were too close to paws. This likely triggered Toto r biting.
Wow! My Dog - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.
Rachel immediately took Toto to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. Rachel has accused Wow! My Dog of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Wow! My Dog.
Rachel described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. These cuts were so bad that they bled."
Marianna De las Vegas is a Wow! My Dog customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.

Wow! My Dog wants its customers to understand what their groomer said to him. After all, they trusted this person with the care of their animals. Rachel said, "Juliann told me that tapering the mouth click here shut was a normal, acceptable method. He claimed it is better than using a muzzle which, according to him, can be harmful for dogs. He said that he uses the method himself on his dogs.
When contacted by Gate News, Wow! My Dog answered the phone but promptly handed it over to a woman who stated they were investigating the allegations. When asked about Wow! My Dog, the woman quickly stated that it is a separate entity. Then she abruptly ended her call.
